Pilmuir, a former coach inn, located in the Cairngorm National Park, has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and modernisation and features a sizeable living area with spectacular panoramic views over the Cairngorm mountains, a modern traditional kitchen with range cooker and four bedrooms accommodating up to eight people. The views dominate the spacious rooms of the house making it hard not to sit in bed or the window seats and watch the sun set whilst the wood burning stove roars.
Set in about an acre of ground there is a secure paddock for horses or play area for children, a dog run, ample parking, ski and bike storage and mature trees, home to a red squirrel. Red deer, ospreys and eagles can often be seen from the house.
The location of Pilmuir is excellent for a variety of activities including hill walking, cycling, golfing and riding along with tourist attractions in the Park such as Strathspey Steam Railway, the Cairngorms, Landmark Forest Theme Park, Distilleries and Aviemore. The Boat of Garten is within walking and cycling distance with post office, shops, hotel and restaurants. The house is easily accessible by car, rail or air with Inverness only a thirty minute drive, Edinburgh or Glasgow two and half hours away or Aberdeen a two hour drive, making Pilmuir the ideal weekend or holiday stay.
